Ask the tree experts

I live in Placer Co, Ca and have a Digger Pine in my backyard that is very large and very old. I can live with all the Pine needles but the sap falling from the tree is creating many problems.
I would like to know if there is any way to patch the leaks? Is there anything that will seal them?
I would like to remove it but they want $3500.00 to remove it.
Thank you

Len,
Unfortunately the production of sap is a natural process in the tree and the leaks cannot be patched or sealed. My best suggestion is to either move what is underneath the tree or build a barrier of some sort. If these solutions are not possible I am afraid you are either going to have to just continue to deal with the sap or have the tree removed, provided you do own the property. Sorry I do not have better news, hope this helps!
