We just wanted to give a quick blog on the wind storm that hit Columbus. Â Hopefully, everyone is doing better as time passes. Â Here are some points that might help when evaluating your tree if it has sustained some damage. If the branches that were lost are less then 3" and less then 20% of the canopy was destroyed your tree will most likely be fine. Â We simply suggest, for this example, to clean up the broken end of the branches. Â Now onto the more serious. Â If the branches that came down are larger then 3" and/or more then 20% of the canopy is damaged then you will need to have the trees evaluated. Â It is possible the trees will recover with pruning repair of broken branches. Â But it is also possible the stress could be to great on the tree. Â Please feel free to post questions and visit tree talk.
